Motadata Linux RDP VNC Agent Installation Guide

Describes the installation steps for Linux RDP VNC Agent 1.0.

Minimum System Requirements

  • Redhat and CentOS 7
  • Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04, 20.04
  • Ports to be in Open State: 5900, 5901 with Direct RDP Connection
  • 2GB System RAM
  • Four-Core Processor
  • Space: 500 MB Hard Drive

RDP VNC Agent Installation Setup

  1. Download the Linux RDP VNC Agent file on a Linux Machine.

  1. Provide the execution permission using the below command:
    Chmod 777 MotadataServiceOpsRDPAgent

  1. Execute the RDP Agent file using the below command:
    ./MotadataServiceOpsRDPAgent

  1. Enter the System User password for the further completion.

  1. After the completion of installation add the Service Details during the installation process. Also, add the Main Server URL and agent activation code. (The activation code will be available from ServiceOps > Admin > Account)

  1. Once you add the activation code and URL, Motadata RDP Wrapper agent will be installed successfully.

  1. Check the RDP Services status using the below commands:
    Systemctl status xvnc.service
