AWS Auto Scaling

Monitors AWS Auto Scaling in Motadata ObserveOps by providing real-time visibility into group size, desired capacity, instance states, and capacity units for efficient and cost-effective scaling.

AWS Auto Scaling is a service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that automatically adjusts the number of EC2 instances or other resources in an application's fleet based on defined scaling policies. It supports maintain application availability, optimize performance, and minimize costs by dynamically scaling resources in response to changes in demand.

 Supported Versions

This is a managed cloud service without a customer-facing version stream; the integration targets the service itself.

Prerequisites for AWS Auto Scaling Integration with Motadata ObserveOps

  • You can check the list of prerequisites required for AWS SNS here. These are the same for any other AWS service that you need to monitor using Motadata ObserveOps. Move to the section Adding AWS resources for Monitoring on the above link to view the prerequisites for AWS resource monitoring.
